HOME NEAR THRASHER DAMAGED IN FIRE
THRASHER – A Prentiss County home received extensive damage from a fire that occurred last weekend near the Thrasher community.
The fire was reported about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on County Road 1195 in the Tuscombia-New Candler Fire District.
Danny Phillips, chief of the Thrasher Fire Department, said it took firefighters about an hour and a half to battle the blaze at the log-cabin-style home. Phillips’ department assisted firefighters from the Tuscombia-New Candler Fire Department.
No one was injured in the fire. A cause had not been determined. The fire was reported during a fierce lightening storm that struck the area.
