STARKVILLE — Oktibbeha County Hospital has undergone a name change to coincide with a $27.5 million expansion project kicked off this week.
The new name is OCH Regional Medical Center.
The expansion will add a new west tower and parking garage, renovate the existing 35-year-old patient tower and expand the hospital’s intensive care and cardiac units.
The hospital also will update the Women’s Center, which includes the labor and delivery suites and newborn nursery.
Hospital Administrator A.C. “Sonny” Kelly tells the Starkville Daily News that the project will be completed in phases. He says the project is expected to be complete by February 2012.
