ICC scholarship recipients

FULTON – Scholarship recipients at Itawamba Community College for 2009 include Pamela J. Butler of Houlka, Special Career Incentive; Wesley Cole Edwards of Houlka, Leadership; Tiffany Love of Houlka, Academic, Leadership; and Kristen “Brooke” Shankle of Houston, ACT Achievement Incentive.
Butler is a graduate of Houlka Attendance Center where she was valedictorian. She is currently working as a certified nursing assistant.
At South Pontotoc High School where he will be a 2009 graduate, Edwards has participated in several activities including football (four years), baseball team manager and devotion leader. His honors are Vo-Tech industrial maintenance Star student, Little Britches Rodeo rookie of the year and 4-H member. He is also youth leader for the First Baptist Church of Okolona. He is the son of Mike and Susan Edwards.
Love will be a 2009 graduate of Houlka Attendance Center where she has been a member of Frontline, FCCLA, Future Educators of America, Student Council, Science Club, Horticulture Club and Beta Club. Her honors include citizenship award and principal’s honor roll. Love is also a member of Thompson Chapel C.M.E. Church. She is the daughter of Jerome and Doris Love.
Shankle will be a 2009 graduate of Houston High School where she has been a cheerleader. Her honors include the BancorpSouth award. She is the daughter of Albert and Carla Shankle.
