Injured UM student out for rest of semester

OXFORD – University of Mississippi student Carson Otter has returned home with a full recovery expected after an Austin, Texas, beating during the Ole Miss-Texas game weekend in September.

The Daily Mississippian reports that Otter was released from an Austin hospital and headed home to Bloomington, Ind., on Wednesday.

The senior real estate finance major suffered a fractured skull in the beating and will miss the rest of the fall semester.
