BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Authorities in Prentiss County say a Booneville woman faces a felony charge after an alleged attack on a detention officer at the county jail.

Sheriff Randy Tolar tells WTVA that 20-year-old Robin Storey was being moved inside the jail on Sunday when the incident took place.

Storey, who was initially arrested on misdemeanor charges, now faces a charge of simple assault on a law enforcement officer.

She remains at the county jail.

It was not immediately clear whether Storey has an attorney.
