FULTON – The Parent Teacher Organization at Itawamba Attendance Center presented the school with a $4,500 check on Monday to fund a third-grade computer lab at the school.
The money, which came from various fund raisers, will be used to purchase 11 computers, which were ordered on Monday. Each of the school’s five third-grade homerooms will spend about an hour each day in the lab, which will also be used for interventions.
Some students will work on computer programs, while others will meet with a teacher in a small group, said third-grade teacher Lisa Wallace.
“The lab will benefit kids who need remediation and those who need more challenging activities,” she said.
