IUKA – Three suspects were jailed Friday and charged in connection with a two-month investigation of methamphetamine trafficking in Iuka.

William Durham, 30, of 147 Hiett Circle, Iuka; Jesse Green, 34, of 202 C.R. 181, Iuka; and Korey Frederick, 34, of 28 C.R. 150, Iuka, all were arrested after a search warrant was executed at Durham’s residence, said Assistant Chief Deputy Jeff Palmer.

The search by officers of the Iuka Police Department and the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department resulted in seizure of 6 grams of methamphetamine ice with a street value of $600, Palmer said.

All suspects were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, and the charges were enhanced because the location is within 1,500 feet of a school.

Durham and Frederick have been released on bond, but Green remains in custody, on hold by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Other arrests may result from this ongoing investigation, Palmer said.
