By Thomas Wells/NEMS Daily Journal

Retired Mississippi State University Bulldogs radio announcer Jack Cristil of Tupelo signs a new book about his life written by Sid Salter at Reed’s Bookstore in Tupelo on Wednesday.
The 224-page book, with a foreword by John Grisham, chronicles Cristil’s 58-year MSU broadcasting career and includes a CD of some of his famous broadcast calls.
Proceeds from sales of the book will support
the newly established Jacob S. “Jack” Cristil Scholarship in Journalism in MSU’s Communications Department.
