Jackson pizza delivery driver robbed, carjacked

JACKSON — Police say a pizza delivery driver was robbed and carjacked at gun point outside a north Jackson apartment complex.

The robbery occurred around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police spokeswoman Colendula Green tells The Clarion-Ledger that a Pizza Hut driver was attempting to make a delivery when a man who claimed he made the order said he didn’t have enough money.

As the man began to walk away, Green says another man armed with a gun demanded cash from the delivery driver along with the keys to his vehicle.

She says both the robber and the man pretending to be a customer got into the delivery driver’s car and drove away.

The delivery driver was not injured.
