Journal websites hit 1 million visits

For the first time in Journal Inc. history, the company websites reached 1 million visits for a month.
The record was reached in May, Journal Publisher & CEO Clay Foster announced Thursday.
“This is great example of teamwork in our daily and weekly markets,” Foster said. “We continue to be the leader in local news and information for our area.”
DJournal.com, the website for the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, along with five other Journal properties – C h i c k a s a w 3 6 0 . c o m , Itawamba360.com, Monroe360.com, NewAlbanyNews-Exchange.com, Pontotoc360.com and Tippah360.com – along with NeMissPreps.com and NeMissJobs.com combined for more than 1,062,000 visits and more than 4 million page views during the month. The December release of Apps for iPhone, iPad and Android tablets and mobile devices also is a contributor to online audience growth.
Journal Interactive websites have grown in traffic 63 percent the last two years.
