n Julie Howell of Ripley was a member of a three-person team of students at the University of Mississippi School of Law who were recognized during the annual spring awards ceremony for advancing to regional trial competition. The team competed in the regional event this year at Mississippi College School of Law.
The award was presented by Bill Dalehite, partner with the sponsoring Jackson law firm Steen Dalehite and Pace.
n Obie W. McGowan of Tupelo graduated from Michigan Technological University on May 1 and received the Bachelor of Science in Computer Network and System Administration.
