EUPORA — A Kilmichael man now faces one count of murder after one of two people wounded in a shooting in Eupora died.

Police Chief Greg Hunter tells the Winona Times that a charge of aggravated assault against Gerry Robinson was upgraded to murder when Carl Patterson died this past week at a Jackson hospital.

Hunter says Robinson is also charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of Antoniette Gill, who remains hospitalized in Tupelo.

He says the shooting occurred Sept. 13 at a house in Eupora. Hunter says Gill reportedly was Robinson’s ex-girlfriend.

He says Patterson was been shot in the leg, and Gill was shot in the chest.
