Lady Bulldogs host No. 13 Tennessee tonight

STARKVILLE – Coming off a big comeback win over its rival, Mississippi State’s women will try to sustain the momentum against a formidable foe tonight.
No. 13 Tennessee will visit Humphrey Coliseum for an 8 p.m. tipoff. The game will be televised by CSS.
MSU (14-11, 4-8) is coming off a 53-50 overtime win against Ole Miss on Sunday, which snapped a five-game losing skid. Porsha Porter scored 18 points that game and hit some big shots in OT. Porter is averaging 13.2 points and 3.3 steals per game.
Fellow senior Diamber Johnson (Ponotoc) struggled against Ole Miss but hit a game-tying 3-pointer in regulation. She’s averaging a team-best 16.0 ppg.
Tennessee (18-7, 9-3) is coming off a 91-54 thrashing of No. 7 Kentucky on Monday. Meighan Simmons scored 25 points, and she’s averaging 11.5 on the season.
Leading the Lady Vols are Shekinna Stricklen (15.0 ppg) and Glory Johnson (13.6 ppg). The latter leads the SEC with 9.2 rebounds per game.
