TUPELO – Lee County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man who walked off a work release site Friday morning.
Terrance Scott, 25, was serving a work release sentence for contempt of court, phone harassment and stalking when he walked off in the direction of North Green Street.
“There was some communication between him and a female that allowed us to continue to believe he was in that area,” said Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson. “He was making threats to this woman. Prior to him escaping, we believe there had been some type of relationship.”
Johnson said they found him in a duplex on North Green Street on Friday night where he was arrested along with another suspect who reportedly was assisting his escape.
He is now in the Lee County jail where Johnson said he is possibly facing felony charges.
