MOOREVILLE – Students at Mooreville Middle School collected about 290 cans and 85 boxes of nonperishable food for Mississippi victims of recent storms. Students and teachers from the sixth- to eighth-grade school with about 300 students delivered the items to the Red Cross in Tupelo on Tuesday.
The drive was a joint effort by the school’s Junior Civitans, honor society and student council. The cans and food items were collected over two weeks.
