Lee/Itawamba FSA county committee ballots sent

TUPELO – Election ballots have been mailed for the 2013 Farm Service Agency county committee elections.

Lee/Itawamba County FSA Director Ross Loftin said all four local administrative areas (two in each county) will be electing a candidate to serve on the Lee/Itawamba FSA Committee with staggered terms beginning Jan. 1.

Voters in north Lee County will choose between Ann Frazier of the Bethany/Guntown area and Jeff McCord from Saltillo.

Voters in south Lee County will choose between Richard Duke of the Chesterville community, Michael Filgo of Shannon and Sylvester Thomas of the Tupelo/Verona area.

Voters in Itawamba County west of the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway will choose between Brent Kitchens of the Kirkville community and Darryl Reich of the Carolina community.

Voters in the area east of the waterway in Itawamba County will choose between Don Clayton of the Tilden community and Pat Turner of the Clay community.

Completed ballots must be postmarked or returned to the FSA office on Cliff Gookin Boulevard in Tupelo by Dec. 2. Ballots will be counted at 9 a.m. on Dec. 5 at the FSA Office.

The counting of the ballots is open to the public. Questions and more information about the election or any programs administered by the FSA should be directed to the local FSA office.
