HOUSTON – Chickasaw County’s emergency communications system, including Sheriff’s Department and E-911, were damaged Sunday night from lightning strikes, said Sheriff Jimmy Simmons.
He said his officers are able to communicate via a backup radio system but that 911 calls are disabled until repairs can be made.
“It’ll probably be sometime Tuesday before we’ll know how long it’ll be out,” Simmons said.
