Man accused of exploitation of vulnerable adult

BILOXI, Miss. (AP) — Biloxi police have arrested a 55-year-old man on a charge of exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Investigator Carl Short tells The Sun Herald the arrest stemmed from an investigation which revealed that Vincent Stewart Alford of Biloxi alleged took property from an elderly family member and sold it without permission. Short said the property included a computer monitor and two firearms, among other miscellaneous items. He said the property was valued at more than $250.

Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong set bond at $50,000 and issued a restraining order preventing Alford to make contact with the family member.

It could not be determined if Alford has an attorney.
