Man admits he’s guilty of enticement

By NEMS Daily Journal

OXFORD – Christopher Pickle of Amory pleaded guilty Monday to trying to entice a minor for sex.
Pickle, 31, faces at least 10 years in prison on the one-count indictment.
He was indicted April 24 on a federal charge accusing him of using the Internet and cellphone communications to persuade a minor female to have sex with him, a crime which constitutes statutory rape and sexual battery in Mississippi.
He also faces up to a $250,000 fine.
Pickle will not be sentenced until the U.S. Probation Service prepares a report about him to guide Senior Judge Neal B. Biggers’ decisions about his punishment.
It usually takes several months for such a report to be completed.
