Keith Lamont Darby, 31, of Greenwood, was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Thomas J. Gardner III.
Darby was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for one count of murder, 30 years, 15 of which will be suspended, for the first charge of kidnapping and an additional 30-year suspended sentence for the second kidnapping charge.
Darby will also be required to pay $100 to the Mississippi Crime Victim Compensation Fund and $1,000 to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund.
The murder happened in April of 2011 on Green Tee Road in Lee County.
