Man taken to hospital after industrial accident in Tupelo

A man was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center after being trapped under a machine at Polyester Fibers factory on 2119 Dalton Drive in Tupelo.

When Tupelo Fire Department arrived the maintenance staff at Polyester Fibers had gotten the man out of the machine.

The call was heard on a scanner around 1:30 p.m.

No information is available at this time about the man or his condition.

Since 1985, Tupelo Fibers has been a leading manufacturer of value-added, high-loft nonwoven materials for applications specifically focused on the furniture and bedding markets, according to the companies Web site.
