PONTOTO – The death of Ronnie Waldo, who was killed in a pit bull attack last week, has been ruled an accident.
Pontotoc County Coroner Kim Bedford said autopsy results show that Waldo died from the attack and that his death was accidental.
Bedford said the complete findings will be released in a report some six to eight months from now.
Waldo, 51, was killed Wednesday when he was attacked by pit bulls owned by his landlord, who lived next door.
The attack came after Waldo had gone to his landlord’s house to borrow a part to repair the hot water heater in his trailer.
Services for Waldo will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at the Tutor Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 5-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
