BOONEVILLE – Prentiss County Sheriff’s Deputies charged a Mantachie man in what they suspect to be an organized shoplifting ring.

Justin Moody, 24, of Mantachie, was stopped by Marietta Police during a traffic stop and was then charged with shoplifting. His vehicle was impounded, and a search warrant later led to the alleged discovery of hundreds of items in the trunk believed to be shoplifted items.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar said they believe Moody is a part of an alleged ring that methodically shoplifts from Fulton, Pontotoc, Booneville and West Point.

Moody was under Mississippi Department of Corrections Supervision at the time of his arrest.
