Mantachie to adopt town seal in contest

By The Itawamba County Times

MANTACHIE – The town of Mantachie is looking for a new seal.
During a recent meeting, the Mantachie Board of Aldermen voted to hold a contest for a new town seal. The seal will be used throughout the town and be immediately recognizable.
In the coming weeks, the board plans to release contest specifics including the format in which to submit designs and where to turn them in.
For the time being, the plan is to have an open contest: Anybody can enter, no matter what age. After receiving all the entries, the choice will be narrowed to three. The final choice of seal will be decided by the residents of Mantachie, who will vote from among those three choices.
The winner will be announced during Mantachie Fest in September.
