Margaret DeMoville of Tupelo dies after lengthy illness

OKOLONA – Margaret J. DeMoville, a nationally prominent leader and officer in the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Tupelo civic activist for more than 30 years, died Sunday morning at her residence after a lengthy illness.
DeMoville, a native of Okolona, was a graduate of Mississippi State University.
She had been extensively involved in organizing and promoting observances in Tupelo involving national holidays, major events in American history, community activities and leadership in her church.

Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo, 400 Jefferson St. Holland Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
