Sherman Grove held their Christmas Program Sunday, Dece.23, at 3 p.m. The youth presented a play. They also had refreshments, swapped gifts, sang carols and played games.

Watch Night will be Dec. 31 starting at 9 p.m. at Sherman Grove Baptist Church. Three speakers: Rev. Artie Webber, Jr. of Ebenezer Church in Aberdeen, Rev. Darrell Rucker of Emmanuel M.B. Church of Baldwyn, and Rev. Lincoln Bradley of Sandhill Church in Baldwyn. When each speak – their choir will sing during that time. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Hopefully this will be an annual event and each year the churches will alternate in hosting the event.

Tri-County Baptist Church

The youth presented their Christmas Program “Christmas Is For Giving” Sunday, Dec.16, at 6 p.m. at Tri-County Baptist Church. Afterwards everyone enjoyed finger foods and fellowship. Chad Higgins was the morning speaker.

The Tri-County Baptist Church members went caroling and delivered fruit baskets to the elderly Wednesday night, Dec. 19.

Sunday, Dec. 23, Bro. Robert Armstrong from Pontotoc was the guest speaker at Tri-County Baptist Church for both morning and evening services. Sunday, Dec. 30, Bro. Paul Wilson was the guest speaker.

Sherman Church of Christ

Joe Connell spoke for both morning and evening services at Sherman Church of Christ Sunday, Dec. 16 and 23.

Fifty-five attended Sherman Church of Christ’s Christmas party Tuesday, Dec. 11, at First Avenue Farm and Grill at 6 p.m. Afterwards, everyone went back to the church for games and dessert.

Youth Devotion was held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 16. Sixteen youth and adults met at Sherman Church of Christ, then delivered fruit baskets and sang to shut-ins in the area and to others in nursing homes.

Connell is scheduled to leave for Africa in January on a mission trip for a month.

Sherman Baptist Church

The Sherman Baptist church members went caroling Saturday, Dec. 15, and also distributed fruit baskets to the shut-ins.

The brotherhood met for breakfast at 7 a.m. at Sherman Baptist Sunday, Dec. 16. The men also delivered fruit baskets to shut-ins after breakfast.

The 55 and Up Club met at Locust Hill Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m.

During the adult Bible Study time on Wednesday, Dec. 19, everyone sang Christmas carols at Sherman Baptist and Bro. Foley read the Christmas story.

The Sherman Baptist youth had their Christmas party Friday, Dec. 21. They went out to eat and then returned to the church to exchange gifts.

Sherman Baptist members met for morning services only on Sunday, Dec. 23. The adult choir performed a Christmas special, and there were no evening services.

The 5th Sunday night singing was held Dec. 30 at Sherman Baptist and began at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards a fellowship meal was observed in the activities building.
