McDaniel asks state high court to open records

JACKSON – U.S. Senate challenger Chris McDaniel is taking his quest to view original voting records to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

McDaniel asked Monday for an emergency order forcing Harrison County Circuit Clerk Gayle Parker to let him see original copies of poll books. He’s trying to prove people who voted in the June 3 Democratic primary illegally voted in the June 24 Republican runoff won by incumbent U.S. Sen Thad Cochran.

McDaniel’s lawyers maintain state law gives them access to original records, including voter birth dates, to track who voted when. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann and some circuit clerks say the law bans release of birthdates and McDaniel must accept copies with that information redacted.

McDaniel seeks to force a new election, arguing his loss was tainted by illegality.

Why would birthdays be of any use unless they we trying to steal your identity? We have voter ID so every one that voted was a registered voter if their name was on the poll books. The only question that McDaniel is entitled to ask is “did someone vote in the Democratic primary and the second Republican primary.

Maybe someone McDaniel knows is in the credit report business?

I agree, And I don’t believe the polling officials made 8330 errors that went in McDaniel’s favor.

it’s Federal Law that any candidate’s representative can access the original voting records, it’s called chain of evidence in any court. Cochran’s supporters are getting deeper in trouble burning down the MS GOP.

I’m starting to think like a lot of other people about the McDaniel Tea Pot supporters being accidently locked-up in the courthouse. The incident is now worthy of a deeper, more detailed investigation by law enforcement authorities (maybe even the FBI). The whole thing stinks,Tea Pots included!

McDaniel is just throwing blood in the water. The more he throws out there, the more it stirs up the anarchist mindset.
