Roberta McDaniels, an employee at the Corinth/Alcorn County Humane Society animal shelter for about two years, has been named director.
McDaniels took over the role in October, said Lenoir Stanley, chairwoman of the shelter’s board of directors.
The shelter is working to recover from several months of upheaval, beginning with an urgent request for a $50,000 infusion to its budget from Corinth and Alcorn County to see it through the previous fiscal year.
The shelter has had two short-term directors in recent months, but Stanley said things have stabilized since McDaniels took over the job.
