JACKSON — At least 30 counties in Mississippi have reported damage from Tropical Storm Lee, according to state officials.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency says damages range from minor to major. One death was reported in northeast Mississippi from the storm.
In Hancock County, a mobile home was destroyed and 60 or 70 roads were flooded during the storm, but 95 percent of structures were elevated.
In Hinds County, 15 homes and 60 apartment units affected by floodwaters.
In Neshoba County, 35 roads were damaged with five of those completely washed out. One public bridge with major damage. The county reported two dams on private ponds destroyed.
In Simpson County, one mobile home was destroyed with seven homes and mobile homes with minor damage.
MEMA says damage assessments are continuing.
