Miss. court denies request to hear appeal of Blue Mountain man

By The Associated Press

JACKSON — The Mississippi Supreme Court declined Thursday to hear the case of a Blue Mountain man serving time for sexual battery and touching a child for lustful purposes.

Jeffrey Kleckner is serving three life sentences plus 15 years.

He was indicted on three counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes in Union County.

Authorities say the victim was under the age of 14.

The state Court of Appeals upheld his conviction in May of 2012.
