JACKSON — The Senate Judiciary B Committee met Tuesday morning and did not take up bills designed to add immigration enforcement to local law enforcement’s duties and place additional restrictions on abortion.
Tuesday is the deadline for the legislation to pass out of committee. Senate Judiciary B Chair Hob Bryan D-Amory, said the Committee might meet again Tuesday, but said he did not intend to call up the proposals for consideration.
