JACKSON – Mississippi residents must be registered on voter rolls by this weekend if they want to cast ballots in the Aug. 2 party primaries.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says this Saturday is the last day for voters to register at circuit clerks’ offices. He says many of the offices will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, including during lunch hour. Hosemann says circuit clerks’ offices in all 82 counties are required to be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The secretary of state’s office says mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by Saturday.
Mississippians this year are electing a governor and seven other statewide officials. Ballots will also have regional offices, legislative seats and county offices, including sheriffs and supervisors.
