GUNTOWN – A missing Lee County teen was found alive and safe Sunday in Union County.
Joshua “Guy” McMillen, 17, was found in a Union County home shortly after 10 p.m.
An anonymous caller from Union County told authorities they saw Joshua and an adult man at a store and tracked them back to the home.
Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said Joshua was there voluntarily and was safe.
The case is still under investigation, and officers are looking into charges that could be filed against the man harboring the teen, Johnson said.
Joshua, who requires daily medication, was reported missing Thursday night and had last been seen near his home off Highway 348 on County Road 417 near Rock Bottom Creek in Guntown.
On Saturday, sheriff’s department deputies and the fire department searched the creek area as well as a watershed water area behind Joshua’s house.
They also checked with the teen’s family, friends and neighbors and were still searching Sunday.
About 20 people had searched for him on Saturday.
