JACKSON — The Mississippi College School of Law will host a debate between gubernatorial candidates Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant and Hattiesburg Democratic Mayor Johnny DuPree.
The debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the school in Jackson.
The 90-minute program will be televised by WLBT-TV in Jackson.
Bryant and DuPree are the only candidates on the Nov. 8 general election ballot. The winner will succeed Gov. Haley Barbour in January. Barbour, a Republican, could not seek a third term.
