GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) — The state is putting up for auction more than 180 Mississippi Cottages on July. 29.
The event will take place at the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency’s staging area in Gulfport.
MEMA officials say the auction will feature one, two and three bedroom units that are designed in the traditional beach cottage architecture.
The units will be sold in “as is” condition, which varies from new to needing multiple improvements. Interested buyers will be able to walk through the cottages before the auction on July 27-28 at the staging area.
Officials say proceeds from the sale of the cottages will be used to continue close out operations of the Mississippi Alternative Housing Program.
