STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Robert Green has been elected president of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Green is a research engineer and undergraduate coordinator for the James Worth Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University.
Green was installed as president of the organization during its recent national conference in Minneapolis.
He is the second Mississippi State University engineer to serve as the organization’s president. In 1970-71, Harry Simrall, the university’s dean of engineering, served as the national leader.
Green holds a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. He is working toward completion of a doctoral degree in public policy and administration at Mississippi State.
