Mississippi woman wins Miss Rodeo America

JACKSON — A Mississippi woman has been crowned the 2010 Miss Rodeo America.

Kelli Jackson took the honor Saturday during a ceremony in Las Vegas, defeating 29 other women for the title.

Jackson, 22, grew up in Sturgis but now lives in Eupora.

As the pageant winner, Jackson will travel to professional rodeos around the country, The Clarion-Ledger newspaper reported.

She also won the speech, appearance and personality categories.
