ABERDEEN – A Monroe County businessman was arrested on Sept. 18 after authorities found cocaine, marijuana and stolen guns at his business and residence, according to a statement from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department
Steve Gaston Coburn, 57, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of stolen firearms.
Lorotabs; Alprazloram, commonly known as Xanax; angel dust; cocaine; and marijuana were seized in the raid.
“If you deal drugs or fool with drugs in Monroe County, we’re going to do everything we can to catch you. We think that with this arrest, we took a major player out of the drug business not only in Monroe County, but also in North Mississippi,” said Sheriff Cecil Cantrell.
He was arrested Tuesday after Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies and North Mississippi Narcotics agents conducted searches of his residence at 500046 Indian Island Circle and business, S&J Auto Sales at 516669 Highway 25 South in Aberdeen.
Authorities also recovered other guns and money. No bond has been set.
