Monroe County wreck kills four
STARKVILLE – Four people were killed in a two-car accident on Mississippi Highway 6 in Monroe County Saturday night.
A spokesman for the Mississippi Highway Patrol’s Starkville office said the accident occurred about 8:45 p.m. Saturday about three miles east of U.S. Highway 45 in northern Monroe County.
Killed in the accident were Henry Frank Cox, 61, and Shirley Cox, 58, of Sulligent, Ala. Henry Frank Cox was driving a 1994 Dodge Spirit and Shirley Cox was a passenger in the car.
Two passengers in a 1988 Toyota Celica driven by Miloslov Brezovsky of Corinth also were killed in the accident, the spokesman said. They were Ivo Brezovsky, 20, and Rene Nozicka, 22, both of Corinth. Miloslov Brezovsky was taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and was listed in critical condition Sunday.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
