Monroe deputies found one armed robbery suspect

UPDATE 3:45 p.m.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said one of the two suspects wanted in connection with the armed robbery of Hurley’s Used Auto & Salvage this afternoon has been taken into custody.

He said they have also found a large amount of crack and powder cocaine in the process of searching for the suspects.

UPDATE 2:45 p.m.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said two suspects fled the Highway 278 scene of Hurley’s Used Auto & Salvage in a red Chevrolet Impala.

The first suspect is described as a 6-foot tall 170-pound man in a black jacket and red and black baseball hat. The second suspect is described as 5-foot-4-inch man with dreadlocks, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

AMORY – Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said his office is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Hurley’s Used Auto & Salvage some time between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Saturday.

They are looking for two suspects, but no other details have been released at this point.
