MOOREVILLE – A Mooreville convenience store was robbed twice on Sunday, Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said.
The sheriff’s department is still investigating whether the two incidents are related, he said.
Before noon on Sunday, an unidentified man entered the B & D Super Stop on Highway 371 in Mooreville, showed a hand gun and demanded money. He left with an undetermined amount of cash that was less than $1,000, Johnson said, adding that no one was hurt. That suspect has not been caught.
After the store closed around midnight, someone broke into it and took mostly phone cards.
Four individuals, three males and one female, were caught and are being held in custody for that incident. Their names will be released on Tuesday, Johnson said.
They were caught with the assistance of the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department.
