HOLLY SPRINGS — Marshall County authorities say a man sought in an assault and kidnapping case has been arrested in Tennessee.

Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said Alexander Carter, 24, of Saulsbury, Tenn., was arrested Monday in Hardeman County, Tenn. Carter was being held there pending an initial court appearance.

Carter was wanted for his role in the April 11 aggravated assault and kidnapping of Charles Hardeman. Authorities said Hardeman was attacked and taken from his Holly Springs home.

Dickerson said the search continues for Xavier Cornelius Parks, 31, of Saulsbury, Tenn., who is charged in the same incident.

Three other people have been arrested in the case.

Dickerson said Ashley Hardeman, 19, of Holly Springs was charged Friday in the incident. She is Charles Hardeman’s sister.

Her bond was set at $1 million during an appearance Monday before Justice Court Judge Ernest Cunningham. A preliminary hearing is set for June 4.

Authorities said Kevin R. Schrock, 29, of LaGrange, Tenn., has been released on bond.

Another man, Gregory Leon Jenkins, 30, remains in jail.
