More charges filed against accused 'panty burglar'

OXFORD – More charges have been filed against the man suspected of being Oxford’s “panty burglar.”
Joseph Paul Lillo, 32, has been charged with five counts of burglary in Marshall County and another two in Lafayette County in addition to the original 11 counts in Oxford.
Lillo was arrested at his home early Sunday morning in the Laws Hill community of Marshall County.
Maj. Kelly Mcmillen, investigations commander of the Marshall County Sheriff Department, noted that while Lillo’s alleged trademark crime has been breaking into homes to steal women’s underwear – a crime that has made him the subject of jokes since the first such break-in back in June – he should not be perceived as mere high-level prankster.
