UPDATE: Lee County Superintendent Jimmy Weeks said on Wednesday morning that there was no damage to the building and that the motorist ran through crape myrtles. He said the accident will not affect school operations.
According to scanner reports, a Guntown police unit is on the scene of where a motorist reportedly ran into Guntown Middle school. A person currently is in police custody.
The incident happened between 1 and 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.
A fireman on scene said there was building damage.
