MPB expects to get service back today

JACKSON – Mississippi Public Broadcasting expects to have service restored for TV and radio audiences by today.
Meg Annison, with MPB’s communication department, said interruptions in service began Sunday.
According to a statement from Jay Woods, MPB acting director, “MPB’s backup power sources were scheduled to take over when MPB power went down for routine maintenance. When power was lost at MPB, both backup power sources malfunctioned, causing our radio and television signals to be disrupted.”
Woods predicted the station would be operating at full capacity by today.
