MSU fraternity placed on probation

STARKVILLE – Kappa Sigma fraternity at Mississippi State University has been placed on probation until May 15 for violating campus alcohol rules.
The action comes after an investigation into a Sept. 18 party at the fraternity house. No details of the incident have been released.
In a statement released Friday, Bill Kibler, the vice president for student affairs, said the fraternity admitted violating alcohol policies.
The MSU investigation was the second of a fraternity at the school.
The Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity was put on probation after members admitted holding an unauthorized party Aug. 28 and violating alcohol policies. Its probation also runs through May 15.
