MSU to offer 2 new student shuttle routes

By The Associated Press

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State University is implementing a park-and-ride option for students starting this fall.

Parking Services director Mike Harris tells the Starkville Daily News that the option cuts the $115 fee for a commuter parking sticker in half while alleviating campus parking issues.

Classes begin Aug. 20.

Harris says all students have to do is pick one of two areas where it’s most convenient for them to park and catch a shuttle bus to the center of campus.

Harris says the routes will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week. He says the routes have no in-between stops and are specifically devoted to carrying students to and from campus.

He says the shuttle bus can carry 35 to 40 people.
