STARKVILLE — The College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University will celebrate this week the 30th anniversary of its first graduating class.
Events will be held Friday and Saturday.
Twenty-five students graduated from the school in 1981. In the past 30 years, the school has had more than 1,300 graduates.
Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus (Ohio) Zoo and Aquarium, will appear at a dinner on Friday night.
On Saturday, MSU will unveil plans for a memorial garden on the veterinary school grounds that will honor the first graduating class.
