NAACP state convention begins

NATCHEZ — For the first time in approximately 10 years, the Natchez branch of the NAACP will host the association’s state convention.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People members from all over the state will begin registering Thursday at the Natchez Grand Hotel and Convention Center.

Chairwoman of the host committee Georgia Oliver told The Natchez Democrat that members of the public are welcome to register for any or all workshops, luncheons or banquets planned through Saturday night.
