Natchez casino reopens after river flooding

By The Associated Press

NATCHEZ – The Isle of Capri Casino has reopened at Natchez, the last of Mississippi’s riverfront casinos to resume operations after being closed for Mississippi River flooding.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission issued closure orders to 17 of the state’s 19 riverfront casinos in Tunica, Greenville, Vicksburg and Natchez, beginning April 28.
The state issues casino revenue figures next week, when the tally for May is likely to be sharply lower. The Isle opened Friday.
